This is the official launch event to bring the Founder Community (a professional online community of third sector organisations, social entrepreneurs and app developers, who are helping Orange to develop their mobile volunteering app) together for the first time to hear more about the project, Orange’s ambitions for it and, importantly, network together and build new relationships amongst each other.
This is an event to engage with the founder community about the development of the application and the creative process. The is not the consumer launch event which it is hoped will be later in the year where Orange and its partners will unveil more details of the Mobile Volunteering App they are working collaboratively on.
We will hear from Everything Everywhere, Orange Labs and 100%Open (the agency managing the crowd sourcing process) on the evening.
The site is already live at http://www.mobilevolunteering.co.uk/ and a consumer launch is planned for later in the year. Although not officially ‘launched’ yet - apparently they are already generating network members and ideas.
Benjamin Ellis and Brian Condon from Amplified are covering the event and hoping to learn more.
